HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Stephen Joseph Beam, 57, of Hephzibah, went home with our heavenly Father on December 22, 2008, in Canandaigua, N.Y.
Steve was a truck driver for National Freight Industries, he graduated in 1969 from Warren County High School.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Beam, mother, Mable Jarrell, and his brother, Lawrence Polk.
Survivors include his father, Oscar (Betty) Beam, of Covington, Ga.; one brother, Jim Polk, of Oregon; four sisters, Carol Spencer, of Rutledge, Ga., Lily (Wayne) Brantley, of Dearing, Ann McCorkle, Nancy (Danny) McCoy, all of Thomson; one stepdaughter, Tara House, and three step-children, Heidi, Starrene, and Dalton Hickenbottom, all of Augusta.
Memorial service was held at Mansfield Baptist Church on July 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Mansfield, Ga. Cremains to be buried in Toccoa, Ga., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Steve.
