THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. William Boyd, 67, of Dearing, was held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Poplar Head Baptist Church with Pastor Rev. David Lowe officiating, and Rev. George J. White serving as eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara W. Boyd, of Dearing; five children, David Boyd (Stephanie), Yolanda Kendrick (Robert), Alecia and Derrick Heath, all of Georgia, Marlon Swinton (Tammy), of Pennsylvania, and Angelo Boyd (Stacey), of Washington D.C.; 11 granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; six sisters, Fran Boyd (Robert) of Georgia, Polly (Lawson) Hopkins, Sr., of New York, Mary Boyd and Penny Boyd, both of Washington D.C., Pauline Boyd, Sally (Earl) Collins, all of Georgia; one brother, George (Gloria) Boyd of Georgia; a father-in-law, Benjamin R. White, Maryland; six sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
