Football season is right around the corner. Eighth grade players at Thomson Middle, Thomson-McDuffie County Junior High, are reminded to pick up their equipment at the field-house in The Brickyard on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 4 p.m.
Players in the seventh grade, meanwhile, will be issued their equipment on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at the same location and at the same time, 4 p.m., according to TMS/TMJH Athletic Director and Football Head Coach Aaron Hall.
Eligibility requirements to play football for the schools include: Students must have passed at least five classes the second semester in order to be eligible for fall athletics. Students also must have a current medical physical on file in the school athletic office.
