Police probe recent break-in

McDuffie County Sheriff's Office Investigator Larry Adaway dusts for fingerprints around a front window of a home in the 1100 block of Earle Street. The home was broken into sometime July 30. Holding a flash light for the investigator to see is Deputy Robert Hoffman. The homeowner, Timothy Garnett, told Deputy Marc Thompson and Investigator Adaway that a green Farmers Merchant Bank bag, containing an undisclosed amount of cash and checks, was stolen. The items belonged to Mr. Garnett's church in Lincoln County. No arrest had been made in connection with the case as of Sunday.
