Mr. Wayne Johnson
Retired Meat Cutter

BONEVILLE Ga. - Mr. Wayne Johnson, 62, beloved husband of Mrs. Cathy Johnson, of Boneville Road, died Sunday, August 9, 2009, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Dunaway officiating. Burial was at Pierces Chapel Cemetery in Wilkes Co.

Mr. Johnson was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Boneville for many years. He was a retired meat cutter from Kroger. He attended Little Brier Creek Baptist Church. He was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Johnson, Boneville; two daughters, Stephanie Johnson and Tricia (Ray) Emery, both of N. Augusta; his son, Michael (Darlene) Johnson, Richmond Hill, Ga.; two step-daughters, Christy (Jason) Grover, N. Augusta, and Alison Johnson, Atlanta; two sisters, Emily May, Boneville and Carol (Gerald) Goldman, Lincolnton; three brothers, Keith (Thelma) Johnson, and David (Trisha) Johnson, both of Boneville, and Jimmy (Esther) Johnson, Harlem; his mother-in-law, Susanne Earle, N. Augusta; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jimmy May, Gerald Goldman, Gerald Goldman Jr., Tommy Edmunds, Michael Johnson, and David Wheatley. Honorary pallbearers were William Keith Johnson and Dakota Wayne Johnson.

Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
