THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Ethel Mae Collins, 82, of Thomson, also affectionately known as "Miba," was a devoted wife and mother.
Her funeral service was held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Cody Grove Baptist Church, Warrenton, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Grant presiding, and Rev. Robert Carter, eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Regina (Paul) Vestal and Glennie (Charles) Olive, all of Thomson, and Carolyn Collins and Orstina Bridges, both of Atlanta; four brothers, Willie (Belinda) Collins, Walter (Glenna) Collins, and Nathaniel (Eddie Mae) Collins, all of Atlanta, and Marion Collins of San Diego, CA; one sister, Ruby Johnson of Atlanta; two daughters-in-law, Claudia Collins, Boston, MA and Phyllis Lewis of Thomson; one aunt, Alberta Norman, Thomson; She also leaves to mourn 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Though her life has ended, her wisdom and caring will continue through these and other extended family and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
