THOMSON, Ga. - A funeral service for Ms. Contessa J. Lemons, 26, of Thomson, was held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Norwood, the Rev. Kenneth Hannah, with Rev. Nathaniel Kendrick, Eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy Lemons, Norwood; father, Jimmy (Lanette) Lester, Norwood; a step-father, Kelvin Jones, Norwood; four sisters, Talisha Lemons (Jeremey Glenn), Decatur, Latoya Lemons, Demetra Lemons, and Shatavia Lester, all of Norwood; one step-sister, Shawana Walker, Thomson; grandmother, Mae Fountain, Decatur; two grandfathers, Willie C. (Dianne) Lemons of Alabama, and Jimmie Lester, Norwood; great-grandmother, Eva Murray, Warrenton; seven aunts; four uncles; one niece, Shamiya Lemons, Decatur; two devoted friends, Christy Bryant, Thomson, and Donald Blair, Warrenton; a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
