THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Donald Lee Williams, 71, of Marshall Church Road, Thomson, entered into rest August 28, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Gloria Jean Williams.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2009, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Larry Little and Gary Little officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Thomas Christie, Lewis Prickett, Gary Youngblood, Stanley Williams, Dwight Shelton and Ed Richardson, III.
Mr. Williams was a native of McDuffie County, and was the son of the late A. Harold Williams and the late Inez Crook Williams. He was retired from Thomson Company and served as a volunteer fireman with McDuffie County Fire and Rescue and the Thomson Fire Department. Mr. Williams was also a member of Life Outreach in Grovetown.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Williams, Thomson; daughters, Julia Ann Turner (Robert), Teresa Naomi Morris and Priscilla Inez Richardson (Edward), all of Thomson; grandchildren, Tonya Dale Linzey, April Lynn Christie and Ed Richardson, III; great-grandchildren, Alexis Nichole Linzey, Audrey Ann Noggle and Gary Alex Youngblood, III.
