Arraignments result in pleas of not guilty

Several defendants recently pleaded not guilty to various criminal charges during arraignments in McDuffie County Superior Court in Thomson.

The arraignments were held Aug. 27 before Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Chief Judge Roger W. Dunaway Jr.

The following cases were heard with defendants pleading not guilty:

Shamarit Latee Carter, aggravated assault, criminal intent to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime;

Adrian Robertson, two counts of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property in the second degree;

Jacquavious D. Battle, aggravated assault and criminal trespass;

Tristan J. Harris, aggravated assault;

Walter Parker Jr., aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Quintavious Collier, aggravated assault, burglary and entering an automobile;

David Bryant Beasley Sr., sexual battery;

Kevin Bernard Embry, robbery by force;

James Mulheran Evans, three counts of child molestation;

Sylvester Ramsey, child molestation and sexual battery;

Ricky Challeder, three counts of child molestation;

Malcolm Thomas Henderson, enticing a child for indecent purposes and child molestation;

Solomon Mandrell Grier, simple battery and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA) for possession of marijuana;

Terry Jones, VGCSA for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, theft by taking and two counts of theft by shoplifting;

Issac Martin Jr., criminal trespass;

Darrell Anthony Mayes, theft by shoplifting;

Mario Deanglo Clemons, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Joseph Alexander Dove, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Deric Lamons Evans, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Fred Thomas Hart, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Mario Devon Hart, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;'

James Earl Jackson, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Merrell Alamaso Jackson, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Kenyell Mathis, one count of VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of oxycodone;

Kevin Bernard Embry, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine;

Jason Wayne Morris, theft by taking;

Ezekiel C. Singleton, driving under the influence (DUI) and DUI, less safe;

Antwain Devorious Bonner, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, safety belt violations, giving false information to a law enforcement officer and obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Jason L. Jackson, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a pistol without a license, no proof of insurance and failure to wear seat safety belt;

Tamarcus H. Callaway, disorderly conduct;

Steve Allen Chaney, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Marshall Lee Cushman, fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, driving while license suspended and failure to yield right of way;

Benjamin Eli Dedrick and Beth Ann Dedrick, co-defendants, each charged with one count of reckless conduct;

Ondrea Lamont Dye, two counts of aggravated stalking, two counts of simple battery and burglary;

Travis Gene Fielder, burglary and two counts of theft by receiving stolen property;

Cristol Hardigree, burglary;

Tina Marie Gay, VGCSA for possession of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended and failure to yield right of way;

Rebecca Heacock, furnishing prohibited items to inmates;

Lora Simon, furnishing prohibited items to inmates;

Lakeyla S. Hines, VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine;

Henry Clay Holliman, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and two counts of simple battery;

Robert Edward Sheppard, criminal damage to property in the second degree;

Brian Lamar Winfrey, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and criminal trespass;

Commoder Dewey Howell, disorderly conduct;

Richard Turner Lee Tice, disorderly conduct;

Jonathan Carton, burglary and entering an automobile;

Bruce Ficklin, burglary and entering an automobile;

Vernon Lamar Jennings Jr., burglary and entering an automobile;

Deyonta Wilson, burglary and entering an automobile;

Brandal Jamarcus Driggers, three counts of burglary and VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Joshua Paul McKee, criminal trespass, simple battery and false imprisonment;

Alonzo Battle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, no proof of insurance, failure to maintain lane and driving without a license;

Demetrius Antwan Demons, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

Robert Lee Belton Jr., possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and having an expired tag;

Daranita Latansa Burnett, theft by taking;

Shonquavious Kenya Neloms, theft by taking;

Kansas Lauren Stone, theft by taking;

William Blake Walters, theft by taking;

Brandon Clark Cason, three counts of burglary and four counts of theft by taking;
