The Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce is transforming Thomson into Greece this weekend. But rather than Mount Olympus, the chamber is offering Dinner by the Tracks.
Catered by Tommy Samuels of Chinaberry Foods, the dinner will consist of Greek cuisine served by waitresses adorned in Greek fashion. The patio on the Depot annex will resound with Greek music.
"It's going to be really, really pretty," Chamber of Commerce Director Carolyn Gilbert said. "It will definitely be worth somebody's time. They'll enjoy it."
Seating is limited and by reservation only. Tickets are $25 per person. Corporate tables also are available.
"A Night in Greece" will take place at 7 p.m., Saturday at the Depot in downtown Thomson. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce office or at Peacock Hill. For more information, call (706) 597-1000. The Chamber of Commerce event is sponsored by Stokes Hodges, Anthony Auto Sales and Milsco.
