THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Gavin Wayne Butts, 25, of Thomson, died on September 08, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larron Pilgrim officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Butts was born in Russell, Kan., and was a 2002 graduate of Lincoln County High School. He was a salesman with Pool Heating and Air and was also a former police officer for the City of Lincolnton.
Survivors include his fiance, Amber Buckner; children, Jayson Myles Buckner and Willow Mae Butts; parents, Wayne and Donna Butts, and sister, Cassandra Jowers, all of Thomson; brothers, Jerry Armstrong, Missouri, Chris Butts, Idaho, Joe Butts, Athens; paternal grandmother, Carolyn June Butts, Thomson; nieces and nephews, Alex Butts, Marie Diaz and Dominic Raye.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
