Local and state authorities still are searching for two men wanted for the recent armed robbery of a liquor store in Thomson.
McDuffie County Sheriff's Department Major Ronnie Williamson said both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
The two men, both of whom are described as black and neither of whom wore masks, are wanted for the August 26 armed robbery of the Saicon Liquor Store near the intersection of Harrison and White Oak roads.
"We're asking for the public's help in that if they know anything about this crime or the persons responsible, to please call us," Maj. Williamson said. "We're hoping that someone will recognize these two men and call us."
The photograph, released from the sheriff's department from video surveillance taken at the time of the robbery, shows one of the robbers pointing a gun at the clerk, while the other makes his way around the counter.
The telephone number for the public to report anything about the crime or the suspects is 706-595-2040.
During the armed robbery, a female clerk was forced at gunpoint into a walk-in cooler after complying with the robbers' demands to give them money from the cash register and elsewhere, Maj. Williamson said.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, he said.
