THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred Adams Russell, 93, widow of Mr. J.D. Russell, of Thomson, died Thursday, September 17, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20, in Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Butch Baston and the Rev. Steve Stokes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was a native of McDuffie County. She was a retired store owner and homemaker. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Joyce Blevins, Thomson; her son, Mr. George D. "Buddy" Russell, Thomson; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and great-grandsons.
