Leadership program taking applications

It's that time of year again. The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing colors, football is in the air and the 2010 Class of Leadership McDuffie is now being formed. The Board of Directors for Leadership McDuffie is now accepting nominations and applications for participation in the class of 2010.

Leadership McDuffie is a program developed under the Chamber of Commerce that offers training for participants to learn about and discuss topics important to our community and also provides participants with a greater awareness of community issues, needs, services and resources.

The goals of Leadership McDuffie are:

- To promote, stimulate, and train better leadership for the political, business and civic communities of McDuffie County.

- To educate the leadership of McDuffie County and the community on issues which affect the social, economic, and cultural growth and development of the community.

- To foster long range planning for our community.

- To act as a forum for the discussion of issues which affect the community.
