A 40-year-old woman slit her wrists with a knife while attending worship services at Agape Outreach Fellowship Ministry near Thomson on Sunday, according to authorities.
Teresa Jackson was treated at the scene by McDuffie County Emergency Medical Services personnel.
Ms. Jackson received what was described as "a deep laceration" to her left wrist, according to radio communication between Deputy Marc Coy of the McDuffie County Sheriff's Department and a 911 dispatcher. She later was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
