Bulldog fans get ready -- Blackout Night is coming.
The Thomson High Technology Student Association is selling blackout T-shirts for the homecoming game. This is the second year for the event.
"It really worked out well last year," TSA teacher Vonda Calhoun said. "People came out and really supported, not only the THS football team, but the TSA as well."
Although last year's blackout was a success for the TSA, the black magic didn't work quite as well for the football team, which lost last year's game against Buford.
But Thomson beat the West Lauren Raiders last year 42-3, and that's the team they will play for this year's homecoming on Oct. 23.
The black T-shirts have a gold screening on them, and are available in adult sizes from small to XXX-large. Short-sleeved shirts cost $10 and long-sleeved cost $15. They are available at the Thomson High School office, the Board of Education central office and at Maxwell Elementary School.
Dr. Calhoun encourages all fans to wear black, whether they purchase the TSA T-shirts or not.
"We want to motivate people to support the football team so they can do good and win that game," she said. "So it's not only about TSA, it's about football players, too."
Proceeds from the sale of shirts will fund TSA competitions for the students. For more information, call the high school office at (706) 986-4200.
