Mr. and Mrs. Roger Holbrook, of Conyers, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Betsy Elaine Holbrook, to Thomas William Johnson- Averette, son of Ms. Deanna Lynn Johnson, of Dublin, Ga.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. P.C. Holbrook and the late Betsy Holbrook, of Thomson, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson, of Wilmington Island, Ga., and the late Barbara Johnson Griffith, of Augusta. She is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education at the University of Georgia.
The future groom is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
The couple plans to wed May 15, 2010, at the historic Mulberry Inn in Savannah, Ga.
