Mr. and Mrs. Charles Teddy Grimes Jr., of North Augusta, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Brooke Grimes, to Mr. Robert Tyler Champion, son of Mr. Van Champion, of Lexington, Ky., and Mrs. Jennifer Harrison, of Thomson. The wedding will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Sacred Heart Cultural Center in Augusta.
Whitney is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Graham, of Thomson, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jordan, of Bath, S.C., the late Mrs. Patricia Beasley, of Augusta, and Mr. Charles Grimes, of Clearwater, S.C. She is a 2004 graduate of Thomson High School, attended Augusta State University from 2004 to 2006 and is a student in University Hospital's Cardiovascular Technology Program.
Tyler is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Lindsey, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Bobbie Hodges and the late Mr. Willard Hodges, of Rossville, Ga., and Mr. Robert Champion, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
