Mr. M. Whaley McDonald
Retired Warren County Board of Education

WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. M. Whaley McDonald, 76, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Janie Teston McDonald, of S. Gibson Street, died Thursday, October 15, 2009.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. McDonald, a native and lifelong resident of Warren County, was the son of the late George and Ruth Cato McDonald. He was retired from the Warren County Board of Education and was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge #11. Mr. McDonald attended Warrenton First United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer with Golden Harvest Food Bank in Warren County.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lynn McDonald, of Warrenton.

Pallbearers were Willis Stanley, Stanley Dallas, Don Kitchens, Jim Spence, Craig Dallas, Zach Dallas, and Roger Harrison. Honorary pallbearers were George Holliman, Barry Rivers, and Randy Henry.

Lowe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
