Dear Editor,
On Friday, Oct. 2, students at J.A. Maxwell Elementary spent the day learning about various machines and modes of transportation. The faculty, staff, and students of Maxwell Elementary would like to thank our community members for being a part of our Annual Machines and Transportation Day! We would like to send a big thank you to: Georgia State Patrol, McDuffie County Fire Department, McDuffie County Ambulance Services, City of Thomson Fire Department, Bartram Trail Book Mobile, Springfield Baptist Church, Georgia Army National Guard-Thomson, Two State Construction Company, Mr. Jim LeBrun, Mr. Jimmy Plunkett, Lenny Hobbs, Jerry Lewis, Jefferson EMC Bucket Truck, GBI Crime Scene Unit, City of Thomson Police Department, Tiana and Skyla Evangelista, Georgia Forestry Unit-Thomson and the City of Thomson Roads Department.
