Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 6672 and Ladies Auxiliary will be distributing Buddy Poppies this Saturday in our community and ask the public to make a donation to disabled veterans and their families.
Poppy assembly is a year-round project in veterans facilities and a part-time program in others. The poppies are made by disabled veterans and some under the direction of National VFW Department.
The poppies are offered to the public as an opportunity for everyone to personally thank the service men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice and those countless men and women in hospitals who may never again be physically fit.
The proceeds from the donations will be placed in relief and rehabilitation funds to help veterans and their families.
