Sears to hold food drive

Thomson's Sears Hometown Store is collecting donations of nonperishable food through Dec. 31 in support of the retailer's nationwide food drive.

Customers are encouraged to drop nonperishable canned and boxed food items as well as other needed products, such as diapers, paper towels, hand wipes, latex gloves, etc. in the donation boxes at the Thomson Sears store, 663 Main St., during business hours. The donations will be distributed to local food banks, shelters and after-school programs.

Over the past three years, the nationwide food drive has collected over half a million items.
