A story that appeared in the Thanksgiving edition of The McDuffie Mirror incorrectly identified this year's McDuffie County Fire/Rescue Services Firefighter of The Year.
The honor was bestowed to Sterling "Bubba" Gibson, who also works as a volunteer firefighter with Thomson Fire Department. Mr. Gibson also is co-manager of Bi-Lo in Thomson. The Mirror regrets the error.
