Letter to the Editor
Most of us have heard about the young woman, Rifqu Bary, from Ohio. This young woman chose to convert to Christianity some time ago, even though generations of her family are Muslim. In this country, we have freedom of religion, so most of you probably don't understand what she faces from her own family. According to Islamic beliefs, a pious Muslim will be subjected to persecution if he or she chooses to leave the Muslim faith. This young woman's life hangs in the balance while some judge decides if her fears are real. Please join me and others, as we reach out to her during this Christmas season. Let her know she is not alone. Remember her in your prayers, please.
