Briarwood boys split two games

MARTINEZ, Ga. -- The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers had no problems against Home School in Evans last Friday night, as they won 55-38.

It was a different story when they played Augusta Prep in Martinez last Saturday night.

Augusta Prep took an early lead and never had to look back. By the end of the first period, the Bucs trailed 24-9 and eventually lost 54-36.

This past Monday night, Briarwood Academy was scheduled to have played Bullock Academy in Statesboro. And this Friday night, they will travel to Sandersville to take on Brentwood Academy -- the last game for them before the Christmas break.
