Distribution system keeps vaccines fresh

The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) has an active, robust distribution system involving over 2,200 direct ship-to sites and an additional 2,600 district sites. DCH has consistently kept up with vaccine allocation, not allowing vaccines to "sit" at the McKesson warehouse.

Georgia's participation in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) initiative would result in duplicated efforts. DCH intends to continue shipping at the state level, including increasing shipments to retail pharmacies as needed for the holiday season.

Below is a list of chain pharmacies that we already have a state provider agreement with:

CVS, Minute Clinics, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Ingles, Kroger, Publix, Winn-Dixie, K Mart, Maxim is providing for Target, Mollen is providing for Walmart.
