Arraignments

A Thomson man is among several defendants set to appear for arraignment on various criminal charges in McDuffie County Superior Court today.

Rodney Christopher Bishop, who has been held without bond in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center since striking his girlfriend with a pickup truck as she ran away from him following a domestic dispute between the couple at Mr. Bishop's home earlier this year. In the mishap, the woman was seriously injured.

Mr. Bishop is charged with aggravated assault, two counts of causing serious injury by a vehicle, driving under the influence and reckless driving, court records show.

During the arraignment, Mr. Bishop, like all other defendants -- will be required by law to plead either guilty or not guilty to the charges.

Several other defendants also are facing upcoming arraignments before Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Harold A. Hinesley. They include:

- Dwight Ernest Harmon, two counts of burglary and two counts of theft by receiving stolen property;

- Stephanie Meadows, theft by taking;

- David Jason Surles, criminal trespass;

- Bridgett Marie Cody, unlawful possession of substance for manufacturing a Schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of substances;

- Richard Allen Pannell, Jr., three counts of possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery or deception;

- Michael Wayne Anderson, forgery in the first degree;

- Marie Crawford, 10 counts of Violation of the Georgia Employment Security Law;

- Tarnisha Nelson, eight counts of Violation of the Georgia Employment Security Law;

- Nicholas Lyles Bacon, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA) for possession of marijuana;

- Larry Wayne Duff, disorderly conduct;

- Nicky Hill Akins, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

- Quintavious Collier, two counts of burglary, entering an automobile, theft by receiving stolen property and aggravated assault;

- Samantha Marie Flowers, burglary;

- Devaris Demingo Hampton, simple battery;

- Quintavious Antonio Collins, robbery by force;

- Chad Allen Cooper, making a false statement;

- Ruby Norton, making a false statement;

- James Phillip Hefner, theft by taking;

- Antonio Christopher Moss, aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the third degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

- Melvin Mathis, theft by shoplifting;

- Deon K. Brown, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and VGCSA for illegal substances near parks;

- Lynwood Burke, Jr., VGCSA for possession of methamphetamine and VGCSA for possession of marijuana;

- Dennis James Davis, simple battery;

- Jermaine Hatcher, VGCSA for possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed weapon;

- Demetrius Dominick McCord, entering an automobile, criminal damage to property in the second degree and theft by taking;

- Dan Smith, criminal damage to property in the second degree;

- Norman Edward Stevenson, Jr., theft by shoplifting and giving false statements;

- Tildon Delino Walker, two counts of theft by taking;

- Timothy Jerome Carlton, VGCSA for possession of marijuana;

- Ankanksha Black, two counts of driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane;

- Shamarit Latee Carter, two counts of obstruction on a law enforcement officer;

- Lillie Hill, two counts of issuing bad checks;

- Wayne Broome, theft by taking;

- Shelia Elizabeth Hathcock, theft by taking;

- James Bouttry, Jr., obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

- Billy Gene Sturkey, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, failure to maintain lane, Violation of the Georgia Open Container Law and driving on the wrong side of the road;

- Donald Wesley Parker, driving under the influence and failure to yield when entering roadway;

- Antuan Trammell Johnson, carrying a concealed weapon, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and seatbelt violation;

- Randy Lewis Norris, carrying a concealed weapon;

- R.W. Adkins, three counts of issuing bad checks;

- Jonathan M. Chambers, four counts of issuing bad checks;

- Allison Denice Windley, issuing a bad check and theft by taking;

- Courtney Bell, theft by taking;

- Shauntia Monique Dawson, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

- Thomas Allen Wolfe, obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

- Jerrell Jackson McDonald, pointing a gun or pistol at another;

- Kevin Christopher Allman, two counts of theft of services;

- Mack James Patterson, two counts of driving under the influence, driving while license suspended and headlight violation;

- Robert Holt, theft by taking;

- Willie Lee Winfrey, theft by taking;

- William Christopher Thomas, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and keeping a disorderly house;

- Wesley Thomas Willingham, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor;

- Valerie Nelson, theft by taking;

- Bruce Allison Inglett, Jr., six counts of forgery in the first degree;

- Tyrone Delano Clanton, five counts of issuing bad checks;

- Anthony Gibbs, theft by taking;

- Wayne Calhoun, Jr., disorderly conduct;

- Tahavious Bouthry, driving while license suspended;

- Michael Joseph Puthoff, disorderly conduct;

- Cherita Laverne Hobbs, theft by taking;

- Dana Banks, affray;

- James E. Banks, Jr., disorderly conduct;
