THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Young, 63, widow of Mr. James T. Young, died, Monday, January 4, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Young was a native of Summerville SC., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her two daughters, Angela (Billy) Markley, Thomson; Pam Workman, Thomson; her three sisters, Jewel Wilson, Beth Cushman, Betty (J.L.) Hendricks, all of Thomson; her two brothers, Billy Cranford, Augusta; Ben Cranford, Warrenton; her four grandchildren, Billy Markley Jr., Tyler Markley, Morgan Workman, Walker Workman, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Billy Cranford Jr., Benji Cranford, Carey Cranford, Ray Cushman, Gary Hendricks, and Robbie Hadden.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
