FOR MORE INFO: The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 194 in Lincolnton is hosting this event. There are different prices for each round. Concessions such as drinks, hot dogs, chips and homemade chili will be for sale. Proceeds go for veterans projects.

 

TRADE SHOW

WHERE: Thomson Depot

WHEN: January 28, 4-7 p.m.

FOR MORE INFO: Sponsored by the East Central Georgia Consortium (One Stop), the trade show will be to inform individuals on the Energy and Industrial Construction Training scheduled to begin in February. The school will help people acquire their National Center for Construction Education and Research credential needed for many industrial construction jobs coming to the CSRA. Applications for training will be taken and participants will be scheduled for WorkKeys Assessment. They are looking for both experienced and inexperienced individuals in the construction trade.

TRI-COUNTY RETIRED EDUCATORS MEETING

WHEN: Feb. 4, 10:30 a.m.

FOR MORE INFO: The speaker will be Pastor Francis of Clemson Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church in Thomson. A good attendance is urged.

 

FRIENDS OF MISTLETOE STATE PARK MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

WHERE: Beach House, Mistletoe State Park

WHEN: Feb. 9, 7 p.m.

FOR MORE INFO: the purpose is to increase the number of members in the Friends, a not for profit group with no paid members. Snacks and soft drinks, door prizes, raffle for a quail wildlife art print.

 

VALENTINE DATE WITH ELVIS

WHERE: Warrenton Cultural Center

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 13, 8 p.m.

FOR MORE INFO: Performing will be Jay Allen and his live band, "That's the Way It Is," of LaHigh Valley, Pa. They will perform songs from the 50's up to the 70's. Bring your own refreshments. Door prizes will be given, Tickets are $12 each. Call 706-986-9884 or 706-220-8198 to buy tickets.
