Mr. Clyde P. "Pete" Murphey
NORWOOD, Ga. - Mr. Clyde P. "Pete" Murphey, 64 of Norwood,
entered into rest January 10, 2010.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 14,
2010 at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill
Seaman officiating.
Mr. Murphey was born in Richmond County, and was the son of
the late Joseph Murphey and the late Annie Hambrick Murphey.
He was a retired electrical engineer. Mr. Murphey was a member of
Little Briar Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Murphey is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frances Duff
Murphey; his sons, Clyde Murphey, Jr. and his wife Anita of
Norwood, Brent Murphey and his wife, Penney of Norwood,
Timothy Murphey of Norwood; his daughters, Angie Murphey
Harrison and her husband, Paul of Augusta, Tammy Murphey Smith
and her husband, David of Baton Rouge, LA.; his brother Tom
Murphey of Augusta, and sister, Mildred Campbell of Alabama; his
grandchildren, Katherine Harrison, Christopher Harrison, Katey
Murphey, Dakota Murphey, Peyton Murphey, Jonah Murphey,
Morgan Smith, and Patrick Smith.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
