WARRENTON, Ga. -- Candice Warthen scored a whopping 38 points as the Warren County Lady Screaming Devils defeated the Washington-Wilkes Lady Tigers 67-48 last Friday night.
The victory was Warren County's 15th of the season to go with just four losses.
Warthen, once again, had an amazing offensive game and played well defensively, too. The standout senior has verbally committed to playing at Arizona State University next season. She made two three-point baskets.
Aside from Warthen's performance, two of her teammates, Tyneshia Harris and Takesa Harris, also scored in double-figures -- Tyneshia with 11 points and Takesa with 10 points. Other players scoring in the game for Warren County were Tianca Evans, 6 and Tameka Harris, 2.
The Lady Screaming Devils led 39-21 at halftime. They team never had to look back after establishing such a big lead.
