THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Kathleen Grant
Drayton, 57, of Thomson, was held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010,
at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Thomson,
pastor, Rev. Rodney Lockett, with the Rev. Artis Royal, presiding,
and the Rev. Ronald G. Toney, eulogist. Interment was in the church
cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Drayton, Thomson;
parents, Luvie Grant and Ruth Grant, both of Thomson; daughter,
Renee (Kenneth) Crockett, Thomson; stepdaughters, Ciera Drayton,
Augusta, and Alicia Taylor, Atlanta; stepson, Jeffery Taylor, Atlanta;
goddaughter, Christian Wilder, Lincolnton; four sisters, Fannie
(Larry) Wiley, Edith Grant, both of Thomson, and Gloria (James)
Brown, Augusta, and Valerie (Maurice) Stockton, Ft. Bragg, NC; one
brother, Robert (Sara) Grant, Thomson; mother-in-law, Lillie Ann
(Dave) Drayton, Washington D.C.; brother-in-law, Sedrick J. Drayton,
Washington D.C.; five grandchildren, Kenneth Crockett, Jr., Nikosha
Hudson, Davon Crockett, Kenyarie Crockett, all of Thomson, and
Rashad Wheeler, Atlanta; three aunts, Annie Lou Griffin, Chicago, IL,
Delia Grant, Dearing, and Essie Collins, CT; god-grandchild, Charity
Drinkard; four nieces, nine nephews, cousins and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
