The Environmental Teacher of the Year Award is an innovative project designed not only to honor the achievements of local teachers, but to bring together teachers and local groups dedicated to environmental education and engender a conversation among them about the issues, challenges, and successes with which they have met.
If you know someone who is a phenomenal teacher, who incorporates nature and earth stewardship into their teaching, please let us know.
The contest is open to all grades, public or private schools, and all subjects.
You may nominate a fellow teacher or yourself.
Principals and administrators may also nominate a teacher, or teachers.
There is a $500 prize for the winning teacher.
For nomination information and forms go to www.csraesec.org.
Nominations accepted through April 1, 2010, and the awards ceremony will be April 22.
