WARRENTON, Ga. -- Two men were taken to an Augusta hospital for serious injuries following a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Warren County last Saturday morning, according to authorities.
Warren County Emergency Medical Services Director Tommy Wolfe identified the victims as Randall Hurt and Justin Love, both of Augusta. Both men were treated on the scene by personnel with Warren County EMS and firefighters/first responders with the Warren County Fire/Rescue Services. The victims later were taken by ambulances to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Mr. Wolfe said both men were evaluated and treated at the scene for various head and leg injuries.
The 11:37 a.m. accident near mile marker 166 in the westbound lane, involved a truck carrying a trailer, Mr. Wolfe said. Both the truck and trailer sustained what was described as "heavy" damages.
The wreck was investigated by the Georgia State Patrol. Other information was not available.
