Five questions

Name: Christopher Hinton

Grade: Senior

Family: Christopher is the son of Sonya Kitchens and David Hawkins, he has one brother and one sister.

Principal Cecil Strong said you will be finished with your schooling and have your diploma in three weeks. What would you say was the most difficult part of getting to that point? All the writing you have to do, especially the portfolios.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Hanging out with my friends.

What are your plans when you are finished with school? Working at the fire department. I am a volunteer fire fighter with both McDuffie County and the City of Thomson.

What do you think Thomson needs for young people? Nothing really. It's fine with me the way it is.

How did you get into fire fighting? I grew up in it. My whole family is in it -- my two uncles and father are chief/assistant chiefs at the fire departments. I like the adrenalin rush you get when you first run in the burning building. Plus, I like helping people.
