A weekend of soccer games turned out to be both good and bad for the Lady Bulldogs of Thomson High School.
First -- the bad news.
They were blanked 7-0 in a key Region 3-AAA game by West Laurens at the Thomson field on Friday. In Saturday's nonregion game against the Harlem Lady Bulldogs, Thomson got back on track with a 2-0 win.
The Lady Bulldogs will play host to the Baldwin Lady Braves on Friday.
In the game against West Laurens, Thomson was limited on their chances to score because of a stingy bunch from Dublin.
And because Thomson hasn't played well in region competition this season, this Friday's game against Baldwin looms even bigger.
Coach Jessica Ruark's team bounced back with a win over Harlem. Scoring both goals for the Lady Bulldogs against Harlem was Miranda Barker.
