THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Ada Belle Cody, 66, of
Thomson, was held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Aldred
C.M.E. Church, Warrenton, Pastor, Rev. Dr. Willie J. Wiley, with
Rev. F. Coy Henderson, Eulogist, Reverend Luther Rogers presiding.
Interment was in the Church Cemetery.
Survivors include four children, three daughters, Jessie Cody,
Patricia Cody (Gregory), Carol M. (Johnny L.) Jones, and a son, Taylor
Sam Cody, Jr., all of Thomson; eight grandchildren, Kiffany N. Cody,
Conyers, James Bouttry, Jr., Shakia Q. Bouttry, Shavon C. Cody,
Brandon D. Cody, Damion D. Cody, Alysia L. Cody, and Christian
Cody, all of Thomson; two great-grandchildren, Vershawn J. L.
Bouttry, and Jha'Khia Bouttry, both of Thomson; six sisters, Emma Lee
(Homer) Grant, Rose (Wilbert) Daniels, Willie Mae Hamilton, Susie
A. Few, Marie Crawford, and Clara Few, all of Thomson; one brother,
Walter (Rosaline) Durham, Philadelphia, PA; two sisters-in-law, Ella
Mae Flemming, Augusta, and Eula Pearl Pearson, Brooklyn, NY; three
aunts, Alex Ramsey, Thomson, Esple Hicks, and Ella Mae Crouch,
both of Philadelphia, PA; two uncles, Daniel Ramsey, Sr., Thomson,
and Ellis Allen, Miami, FL; a devoted friend, Vivian Rogers, Thomson;
a host of other relatives and friends.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of all arrangements.
