The Thomson High School Bulldogs lost a soccer game and won one last weekend.
They suffered a 4-3 setback when they played the Liberty County Panthers in a key Region 3-AAA game in Hinesville last Friday night.
Thomson senior star Jay Bieltz kicked all three goals for the Bulldogs. Teammate George Rosales got an assist.
Another player who turned in a sensational performance was sophomore goalkeeper Jonathan Atkins, who was made 12 saves against Liberty County.
Thomson rebounded with a convincing 5-0 victory over the visiting Washington County Golden Hawks of Sandersville last Saturday.
Bieltz booted four of the team's goals. Dalton Herrington also scored a goal.
Thomson, now 8-4-1, will play the Cross Creek Razorbacks of Augusta on April 12 at the Thomson field. Game time is set for 7 p.m. The Bulldogs also are scheduled to play Richmond Academy at home on April 15.
The Bulldogs' last three regular season games will be played on the road. They journey to Dublin to take on West Laurens on April 16. They will then travel to Milledgeville to clash with the Baldwin Braves on April 17 before closing out regular season play against the Jefferson County Warriors on April 19.
