Bench trials

Several felony bench trials are slated for April 27, 28 and 29 in McDuffie County Superior Court in Thomson.

Those defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against them and have opted to have their cases heard by Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court Chief Judge Roger W. Dunaway, Jr., instead of a jury of their peers.

Cases slated to be heard by Judge Dunaway on Tuesday, April 27 include:

Michael Wayne Anderson, forgery in the first degree;

Kelly Shavonne Appling, burglary and theft by taking;

William Edward Jackson, burglary and theft by taking;

Lakeyla S. Hines, five counts of financial transaction card fraud, VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine;

Tammie Michelle Moss, theft by shoplifting;

Timika Tiguan Ealy, forgery in the first degree;

Jacquavious D. Battle, aggravated assault and criminal trespass;

Antwain Devorious Bonner, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA) for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, safety belt violations, giving a false name to a law enforcement officer and obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Jason L. Jackson, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, carrying a pistol without a license, no proof of insurance and failure to wear a seat safety belt;

Quintavious Collier, theft by receiving stolen property;

Marshall Lee Cushman, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, driving while license suspended and failure to yield right of way;

Ondrae Lamont Dye, two counts of aggravated stalking, two counts of simple battery and burglary;

Samantha Marie Flowers, burglary;

Cristol Hardigree, burglary;

Lora Simon, furnishing prohibited items to inmates;

Henry Clay Holliman, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and two counts of simple battery;

Walter Parker, Jr., aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; and

Robert Edward Sheppard, criminal damage to property in the second degree.

On Wednesday, April 28, the following defendants are scheduled to appear before Judge Dunaway. They include:

Brian Lamar Winfrey, VGCSA for possession of marijuana and criminal trespass;

Quintavious Collier, burglary;

Brandal Jamarcus Driggers, three counts of burglary and VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

Robert Lee Belton, Jr., possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and having an expired tag on a vehicle;

Brandon Clark Cason, three counts of burglary and three counts of theft by taking;

Walter Edward Parker, Jr., theft by shoplifting;

Jennifer Diane Roberts, fraud in obtaining a controlled substance and four counts of burglary;

Sean Monroe Sellars, fraud in obtaining a controlled substance;

Justin Samuels, burglary and six counts of financial transaction card fraud;

Earl Usry, two counts of criminal trespass, aggravated stalking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Marco Donta Hudson, habitual violatior and failure to wear a seat safety belt;

Teresa J. Howell, two counts of issuing bad checks;

Jeff Dwayne Fairley, two counts of forgery in the first degree and three counts of forgery in the second degree and;

Rhonda Wallace, theft by shoplifting.

Several other defendants are expected to appear before Judge Dunaway on Thursday, April 29. They include:

Deon K. Brown, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of illegal substances near parks;

Lynwood Burke, Jr., VGCSA for possession of methamphetamine;

Jermaine Hatcher, VGCSA for possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed weapon;

Demetrius Dominick McCord, entering an auto, criminal damage to property in the second degree and theft by taking;

Tildon Delino Walker, two counts of theft by taking;

Bruce Allison Inglett, Jr., six counts of forgery in the first degree;

Cherita Laverne Hobbs, theft by taking;

Marion Mantavious McNair, theft by taking, criminal trespass and obstruction of a law enforcement officer;

Montrell Deonta Walker, possession of a motor vehicle with its vin number defaced or removed;

Santonio Dewayne Ramsey, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

Jimmy Demarcus Wilburn, VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, having illegal substances near parks and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Teresa Lowe, aggravated assault;

Clifford Lee Mathis, theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree;

Antonio Rodriquez Morgan, VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana;

Gilbert Johnson, aggravated assault;

Lee Edward Harris, VGCSA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

Jasper Luther Burnett, Jr., VGCSA for possession of cocaine;

Donovan Grant Nwankwo, VGCSA for possession of cocaine;

Rona R. Carter, criminal trespass and theft by taking;

Kenneth J. Carter, II, seven counts of criminal trespass and seven counts of theft by taking;

Kim Elizabeth Barnett, VGCSA for possession of methamphetamine and possession of Scheduled IV controlled substance, Alprazolan;

Christopher Rodney Bishop, aggravated assault, two counts of serious injury by a vehicle, reckless driving and driving under the influence;

Patrick Scott Johnson, terroristic threats and acts and harassing phone calls; and

Brandon Clarke Cason, theft by receiving stolen property.
