AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. William Newman, 63, died, April 10, 2010,
in the UniHealth PAC.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, in the
Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Dr. Don Widener
officiating.
Mr. Newman was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in
Augusta for many years. He was a vending machine mechanic and
had worked for Augusta Sportswear. He was a Navy Veteran and a
Methodist.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Frances Newman, Aiken SC.; his
two sisters, Barbara (Irwin) Hillman, Thomson and Nettie Valentine,
Augusta; his two brothers, Hillary Eugene (Gail) Newman, Texas and
Jimmy (Cindy) Newman, Edgefield SC.; and a former wife and son,
Brenda Harden, and Billy Harden.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
