MOVE ON WHEN READY ACT & DUAL ENROLLMENT

WHERE: Thomson High School INFO: In compliance with Georgia's Move On When Ready Act, Thomson High School informs parents of rising juniors and seniors that multiple dual and joint enrollment opportunities are available with local colleges and technical schools. MOWR allows juniors and seniors to receive high school credit and college credit simultaneously while attending college classes full time. Approved college online courses can also be taken. The ACCEL program allows students to take college courses part time. Students interested in these options for next school year must meet with their school counselor to discuss admissions requirements, high school eligibility and graduation requirements, and financial aid procedures prior to May 20. BIKE TUNE-UP WORKSHOP

INFO: Hosted by Dennis Neal. Bring your own bike for hands-on training on lubricating chains and changing tire tubes. Then, be ready to ride in the Cycle Tour the next Saturday.
