Mr. Charles H. 'Chuck' Davis

HARLEM, Ga. - Mr. Charles H. 'Chuck' Davis, 56, husband of Polly
Renew Davis, entered into rest Sunday, April 18, 2010.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010,
at Dearing Full Gospel Church with the Revs. Eddie L. Renew and
Jerry Rockefeller officiating. Interment was in the Harlem Memorial
Cemetery.
Chuck was born in Augusta to the late John Curtis 'J.C.' Davis and
Lula Tudor Davis. He was retired from Georgia Power and was a DJ
'Chris Kelly' in the CSRA local area radio stations with many different
radio personalities including Santa Claus for WBBQ. He loved the
outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Polly R. Davis; son, Jacob C. Davis,
Harlem; Kirk Buffington, Harlem; daughter, Miranda E. Scott and
husband Victor of Cordele; one granddaughter, Eliana Grace Scott
and baby Addison due to arrive in August; his mother, Lula T. Davis,
Dearing; three brothers, Curtis (Tracie) Davis, Waverly Hall; Craig
(Karen) Davis, Gibson, and Chris Davis, Dearing, one sister Sandra D.
Owens, Martinez; Father and Mother-in-law Rev. Eddie and Jeannine
Renew, Harlem; sisters- in-law Donna Kay Orr (Gould), Harlem, Patsy
Sheppard (Vic), Martinez; brothers-in-law Bobby Renew (Dianne),
Harlem, Eugene Weed (Marlene), North Carolina; Joey Renew (Irene),
Augusta and Larry Renew (Patsy), Harlem.
Pallbearers were Alan Davis, Danny Huff, Charlie Tudor, III, Victor
Scott, Gould Orr, Vic Sheppard, Dewayne Herrington and Ellis Cliett.
If so desired, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. The
family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the loving care given
to Chuck as well as his family. Kerstin, Kim, Allison, Brenda and Gary
are the "HEART" in Heartland.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
