Mrs. Mabel Jones Coleman

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mabel Jones Coleman, 84, of Thomson,
entered into rest April 17, 2010 at her residence. She was the beloved
wife of the late Tom Coleman and the late Weldon W. Jones.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at
the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Walker officiating.
Interment followed at the Camak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Dunaway, Rob Gardner, Weldon Gardner,
Shane Foster, Bill Lee and Jamie Adair.
Mrs. Coleman was a native of Warren County, but lived in McDuffie
County for many years. She was the daughter of the late John Daniel
Norris and the late Alma Berry Norris. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker
and a member of Young Memorial United Methodist Church. She also
taught Sunday School for over 35 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Joanne Huff and husband, Larry
of Marietta, Ga., Sherry Dunaway and husband, Bobby of Thomson;
stepson, Ronald Coleman and wife Cathy; sisters, Hazel Johnson of
Warrenton, Allene "Jewel" McCord of Camak; grandchildren, Pam
Lee, Lisa Foster, Ginny Baggett, Mandy Adair, Bob Dunaway; stepgrandchildren,
Tammy Mertins, Ronnie Coleman, Brandon Coleman,
Holly Coleman and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Young
Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3375 Washington
Rd. Thomson, Georgia 30824.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
