On April 17, Dearing Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization sponsored their first ever Spring Carnival.
The beautiful weather and the promise of loads of fun encouraged the attendance of a great crowd of students, their families, and community members.
Children enjoyed an assortment of inflatables, a variety of carnival games, horse rides, prizes, food, and the companionship of many of their friends. The Spring Carnival raised over $1,000 which will help purchase an awning to cover the school's front sidewalk. The awning will help protect car riders from rain as they walk into and out of the school every day. The Dearing Elementary School PTO would like to thank all of the family and community volunteers who helped make this event such a huge success. Without their help and support, the Carnival would not have been possible!
Because of its success, the PTO is planning to make the Spring Carnival an annual event.
