Residents can help school receive grant

It's time to start networking.

McDuffie County residents are being asked to help Thomson Elementary receive a $50,000 grant. Each month Pepsi provides 1.3 million dollars to people with innovative ideas that benefit the community.

Thomson Elementary teachers Stacee Leslie and Tina Swann have applied for a Pepsi refresh grant to bring a "Wonderment bus" to TES. The "Wonderment bus" is a bus that will be completely transformed into an outdoor science laboratory. It will be filled with experiments, the latest technology, heating, air, and water. Their proposal was approved by Pepsi and now it is up to the community to vote for their project!

Votes can be cast for the entire month of May for their project. If they receive the top ten votes in the $50,000 category, Thomson Elementary will be awarded $50,000.

Remember one vote every day for the entire month of May will help make this dream a reality!

There are four steps to vote for this project: (You need an email address to vote online)

STEP 1: go to www.refresh

STEP 2: At the bottom of the screen click, Join Refresh
