Mrs. Dorothy Axon Boyd
HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Axon Boyd, 61, wife of
Dennis Boyd, entered into rest Monday, April 26, 2010, at
Doctors Hospital, Augusta.
Memorial services were held 6:30 p.m., Wednesday
evening, April 28, 2010 at Starling Funeral Home with
Jerry Rockefeller, Sr. officiating.
Mrs. Boyd was a native of Wilkes County and a resident
of Columbia County. She was a Civil Service retiree and past
employee with Brandon-Wilde. Mrs. Boyd was a member
of Oak Baptist Church.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Dennis Boyd;
daughter, Susan (Tony) Darling, Grovetown; sister,
Frances Gilmer, Warrenton; granddaughter Taylor Cray
and grandson Morgan Havard; two step-daughters, Nancy
King, Hoboken, GA and Melanee Boyd, MCclenny, FL; one
step-son, Joseph Boyd, Harlem; five step- grandchildren,
Phenix, Josuha, Lydia, Darby and Emma. Mrs. Boyd is
also survived by aunt, Margie Reeves, Thomson and uncle,
Carol Whitaker, Thomson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and
Margaret Axon.
