Mrs. Marjorie M. Hobbs
DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Marjorie M. Hobbs, 89, of
Dearing, wife of the late Chesley (Hoss) W. Hobbs, entered
into rest Friday, April 30, 2010 in McDuffie Regional
Medical Center, Thomson.
Graveside services were held 3 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2010
at Ft. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Dearing, with Dr.
Phil Bray officiating.
Mrs. Hobbs was a native of Morgan County, Ga. and a
lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She was a homemaker
and member of Ft. Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Gene (Judy) Hobbs, Dearing;
two daughters, Joyce (Jim) Garner, Dearing, and Dorothy
Reese, Evans; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren
and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lenny Hobbs, Randale Hobbs, Andy
Hobbs, Gary Rabun, Korey Austin and Jerry Garner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ft. Creek
Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Mrs. Brenda H. Reeves,
840 Kamel Drive, Augusta, GA 30909.
The Family would like to thank caregiver, Tina Stallworth
and Dr. Frank Powell for their love and special care for Mrs.
Hobbs.
