Mrs. Mary Agnes Kitchens Hobbs
WRENS, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Agnes Kitchens Hobbs, 82,
wife of the late Manalcus Hobbs and daughter of the late
Beulah Stapleton and William Thomas Kitchens, entered
into rest Friday, April 30, 2010, at University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at Zoar Methodist Church on
Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 3 p.m. with Jack McCorkle and
Rev. Todd Upchurch officiating. Interment followed in the
church cemetery.
Agnes was a native of Glascock County, Ga., but had
lived in the Wrens area since 1968. She was a homemaker
and member of Zoar UMC where she was a member of
the Faith Sunday School Class, a former SS teacher and SS
treasurer. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth
Kitchens.
Her survivors include her brother, Ernest Kitchens
(Ruby); a sister, Jennell Clark, Dearing; a sister-in-law, Pat
Kitchens, Thomson; and several nieces, nephews and many
friends.
