The CSRA Force 14 and Under girls fast-pitch travel team from Thomson and surrounding areas recently traveled to Atlanta where they won the Mothers' Day Classic.
The team competed against some of the top teams from throughout the Peach State.
They went undefeated, winning all five of their games, according to CSRA Force coach Wayne Wilson, who also is a businessman in Thomson.
The CSRA Force defeated Georgia Softball Academy of Duluth 7-3 in the championship game.
Kylie Guy turned out to be the hero in the title game by smashing a grand slam.
The local team is made up of the following players: Kylie Guy, Copeland Price, McKenzie Simpkins, Cameron Stadler, MeKenzie Kolie, Kaylee Arrington, Mallory Howard, Samantha Sims, B.J. Thomas, Shelby Patterson, Heather Holley and Morgan Bentley.
