Reynolds captures state title in individual 200-meter dash

WARRENTON, Ga. -- The name Coby Reynolds is now known around Georgia.

Not without good reason.

Reynolds captured the Georgia Class A individual 200-Meter Championship during the Georgia High School Association state track meet held in Jefferson, Ga., last Saturday.

Reynolds, who has long been known as a speedster for the Screaming Devils, won the 200-Meter event in a most impressive time of 22.34 seconds.

Reynolds' accomplishment helped the defending Class A state champions -- Warren County team -- to a fifth place finish in overall competition. The Screaming Devils tallied 31 points in the state track and field events -- 37 points behind Pelham, who captured this year's state crown.

Reynolds also was a star football player for the Screaming Devils.
